Eugene Wright, 73 years of age born in Harlem Hospital NYC to Richard and Herline Wright of Eutawville South Carolina.
Eugene graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School (August Martin H.S) located in Jamaica, Queens. After graduation he entered the United States Army within that same year, his mother had to give her written consent because of his young age.
He Serving our country with pride and honor. In August 1966 Eugene entered Holy Matrimony with his childhood sweetheart Illse C Johnson, they were married for 51.6 years and blessed with three Children.
Eugene was passionate about his many professions beginning with Con Edison as a welder for 2 decades and then welded for MMC of Woodmere as a Master Welder of government submarine components. He also drove long haul tractor-trailer trucks for ‘SWIFT’ trucking a dream come true for him. He excelled in his chosen professions.
His hobbies included Fishing, building intricate types of scale model cars and he was most proud of his 2000-piece Santa Maria Wooden Spanish Schooner which he measured, cut, glued, tied and knotted each string for the mast, upon completion of each plank which was cut to perfection. Most recently he enjoyed playing the Lottery, Scratch off ticket and of course the Numbers and Back room machines. “BLUE ‘

He leaves to cherish his fond memories, Wife Illse C Wright, daughters Illse Jena’l Wright, Shanna Renee Wright (Lewis) and Son Eugene Robert (Jacklyn) Wright survived by his brother Melvin (Victoria) Wright his brother-in -laws Don (Lorine) Johnson, Benjamin (Pat) Johnson, Grandchildren Devon, Talik, Kimora, Kiyon, Miah, Madison, Kayden and Noah. Nieces Chevelle (John) Ross, Valita Dandridge, and Natacha Gillis. Nephews Caleb Johnson, Lil Melvin Wright, Courtney Wright, Patrick Johnson, Lloyd (Necy) Johnson Ricky (Shiela) Johnson, Goddaughter Augusta Demetrius In-Laws Ivory Jo, Greta, Pat, Pam, Vanessa, and a host of Cousins and FRIENDS. His Parents and his sister Gerald Patricia Jefferson preceded him in his heavenly journey.
