Obituary for Rochelle Mae "Shelly" Tyler-Daniels

Rochelle Mae "Shelly" Tyler-Daniels
Rochelle entered this life on Sunday December 18, 1960 in Queens, New York to the late Orline Tyler and William Daniels. She was the last of 3 children.

She was educated in New York Public School System including Russell Hill Middle School and Forest Hill High School which she completed and graduated from. Soon after that she got her certification for Nursing Assistant, she then furthered her education and went on to medical school and received her Medical Assisting Associated Degree. She then started working in a facility called Tempco Services cleaning offices and numerous other things. She helped out around her community as well, including cleaning local parks, and donated clothes to those in need.

Around this same time she met her first love, Lawrence Lee and to that beautiful union they had a miracle Roshawnda Tyler .

Rochelle had a beautiful free spirit and that’s the best way you could describe her. Anyone who would come in company of her would say “Rochelle lights up the room” and has made a great impact on many lives. She was creative. She wrote numerous poems, traveled frequently (could never stay still), and knew how to get a party started. She stayed in the kitchen as well. She was authentic and determined in everything she did in life.

Nothing was more important to her then her grandkids. Back in 2007 she picked up and moved to Hazleton, Pennsylvania to which she resided until she passed away. Rochelle made a strong name for herself in the town which she lived in. If nobody liked her she made sure they respected her, and everybody who knew her loved her for that. She made a true impact on her community and will always be remembered as “BIG MAMA”, she was mama to everybody, opened her home to whomever needed her help.

Rochelle Shelly Mae Tyler-Daniels rested her eyes for the last time on May 10th, 2018 (which is the birthday of her late mother). She leaves to cherish her memory 1 devoted and loving daughter Roshawnda Tyler , 4 amazing grandchildren (Eb’Briona, Jamirah, Darwish, A’Zyiah). 2 brothers(Rasun, Bryan). 4 aunts (Grace Betty, the late Tina, and the late Myrtle) 1 uncle N.D , a late niece Shameana, 2 nephews (Rasun, Herbie) 9 cousins, 2 handfuls of great cousins, and her extended Hazleton and Queens family. She will be missed dearly, but never forgotten.
