Obituary for Denise "Doll" Webb

Denise "Doll" Webb, was born in Auburn, Alabama on July 25th, 1959, she was the eldest daughter of the late Joe and Hazel Webb. In 1985 she married Orlando “Early” Gooden and they raised four children.

Denise became a resident of New York City as a small child and began her schooling in the borough of Queens. She continued to reside in Queens for most of her life having strong ties to her community. Denise was best known as “Doll” to all of those who loved her. She enjoyed music, dancing, and socializing. She had an infectious smile and kind heart that drew people to her. She never missed an opportunity to entertain family and friends as she treated them to her cooking and endless hospitality.

Denise made a career out of taking care of others as she was employed as a Home Health Aide and later became an Assistant Chef at Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Day Care Center, where she retired. After retirement, Denise became a Maryland resident. Upon recommitting her life unto the Lord through baptism, she became a faithful member of Fort Washington Christian Church. Where she loved the company of family and friends whom loved and cared for her.

Denise "Doll" Webb leaves to cherish her husband, Orlando “Early” Gooden; four children; Cassandra Gray, Shaun Webb, Sr., Sharon Webb, and Brandi Webb; 10 grandchildren; Kayshaun “Woogo” Webb, Collin Gray, Ty Gray, Brandon Twells, Cody Webb, Breyia Webb-Twells, Brittany Twells, Kalayia Jones, Shaun “Joe-Joe” Webb, Jr., and Osaghatae “Bradley” Igiehon, Leo Webb (predeceased); her only sibling Joanne Anderson (predeceased). Denise was also survived by her late sister's children; Barry Morston, Jermaine Morston, Opiaah Adia Jeffers, and Jordan Webb, as well as her aunts; Mildred Wright and Magdalene Wright and a host of great-nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

On May 30, 2018, Denise “Doll” Webb passed at Adventist Washington Hospital. She no longer has any worries as on this day she would return unto our savior.
