Obituary for Ann Byers

Ann Byers
Ann was born to William Wallace and Louevina S. Byers on August 21, 1957 in Queens, New York. A year later her only sibling, Todd Byers, whom she affectionately called “Brother”, was born. She loved her brother with all of her heart and the two of them were close and inseparable through the course of Ann’s life.

Ann had one child with Arthur Pierre-Louis, whom they named Desire Nicole Pierre Louis. Desire was her hearts treasure and most precious to her.

Ann Byers was truly a unique person whom God gave the incredible gift of helping others. She was a counselor to her friends and a support beam for her family. Her family was where her heart was. She picked up the mantel of keeping the family together after her mother passed away in 1996. She was successful in navigating the family to come together and to stick by each other even until her death on June 23, 2018.

Amongst the litany of family members, Ann is survived by her daughter Desire Pierre-Louis, her brother Todd Byers and her sister-in-law, Francoise Byers, her niece Jasmyn M. Byers, her nephew Todd Sean Byers and his wife Ajiri M. Byers, her Aunt Rosetta Hill of Cleveland, Ohio and of other cousins of multiple generations. Amongst her childhood friends she is survived by Pat, Cheryl and Gloria.

Her insight and her presence will be missed by all of those that she loved and cared for.
