Obituary for Theodosia I. "Theo" Brown

Theodosia I. "Theo" Brown
THEODOSIA I. BROWN was born September 18, 1946 to the late James and Claire Brown. She was born in the Bronx, NY. Theodosia departed this life on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at the Forest Hills Hospice Center in Queens, NY.
"Theo" as her family endearingly named her, was a vibrant young girl with a strong will and determination in her heart. She was the third child out of five siblings. Theo graduated from
Walton High in the Bronx, NY. She went on to earn her Bachelor's Degree from Borough of Manhattan Community College as well. Afterwards Theo coined the nickname "Teddie" which she loved to be called by everyone she met. During her career she worked as a Legal Administrative Assistant, Private Banker with Citibank for long period of time, and finally at a NYS City hospital as a Administrative Supervisor. Teddie retired at an early age due to an ongoing medical condition.
As a young lady Teddie received the Lord Jesus Christ into her heart. She loved the Lord with all her being! This Christian soldier was a consistent and fervent prayer warrior.
She attended many churches during her christian walk and became a member of the Harmony Missionary Baptist Church of East Elmhurst, NY. There she was ordained as a Deaconess and years later licensed by Pastor Rich to be an Evangelist. For a short period of time she was an Evangelist at Greater St. Stephen's Misionary Baptist Church Of Jamaica, NY. Teddie was always doing God's work until several short illnesses tried to stop her. Living by faith, she was healed of those infirmaties and later joined Allen AME Church of Jamaica, NY.
Evangelist Brown was always ready to teach, counsel, study the Word of God with anyone who sought her help. Her love of God reperesented who she was at all times. Teddie loved her family, brothers and sisters-in-Christ, and especially "Chico" her beloved dog. When the Lord commanded her to she co-raised a fatherless child named "Daniel." So her love, for even strangers, never ceased to exist.
Theodosia Brown leaves to mourn her son Michael brown, her brother and sister-in-law Edward and Isolene Brown, her adopted daughter and grandson Karen and Daniel Paige, the Ray family, a host of relatives, friends, neighbors, her lifetime friend Emilene Creamor, and lastly Chico Alejandro Brown.
She will be truly missed.
