I am deeply sorry for your loss. I know how hard losing a loved one can be. Prayer is a major healer because God is close to those who are in pain at heart. He hears the prayers of those who cry for help. God hates death just as much as we do and that is why he plans to do something about it in the near future. 1 Corinthians 15:26 reads: "And the last, enemy, death, is to be brought to nothing." God will also resurrect our dead loved ones. Acts 24:15 reads: "And I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous." You and your family are in my prayers. Please accept my sincere condolences. www.jw.org - search resurrection (for comfort that will bring you to your copy of the Bible)

Imagine a time in the future when those in the grave will be brought back to life here on earth! The Bible repeatedly speaks of such a time. Describing what conditions on earth will then be like, the Bible states that God "will wipe out every tear from (our) eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore" Revelation 21: 3,4

My deepest condolence for the loss of your dear loved one. In this difficult time, may Gods’ promises that no mourning nor outcry nor pain being any more at Revelation 21:4, be a comfort to you in your time of grief and recovery, knowing that the day will come when you will not suffer such anguish and you’ll be reunited with the ones you treasure.

Cornell lived a few doors down from me. We were neighbors, and we were friends. He was generous with his time and technical expertise. He was quick to smile, quick to joke and quick to let loose a hearty, full-throated laugh. I will miss his kindness and his laugh. I think many of us will. Heartfelt condolences to his family.
